The AudioSuite version seems to be equally worse than before. Not to hijack this thread, but has anybody else noticed that the RTAS version of AutoTune barely tracks at all? I find the TDM version is as expected, but still has occasional clicks when mistracking, but the RTAS version used to be BETTER than the TDM for tracking, and is now much worse. I'm sure Waves Tune is very similar, except that it runs inside the session (a major downside of Melodyne BTW).
AUTOTUNE 7 VS WAVES TUNE REAL TIME UPDATE
Melodyne is really quite incredible as an interface, and every update seems to improve the tracking filters, and the results keep getting better.

Over the last few years I've gotten pretty good at minimizing any tuning artifacts from AutoTune, and I'm usually very happy with the results! There's no way in hell I'd be doing offline work on all those tracks. Just running a session with a buch of instances in 'Auto' mode on bass, horns, BG Vox, etc., you can't beat it. Well, I've used AutoTune for the last 5 or 6 years, and Melodyne for the last 2, and they both have strengths and weaknesses (Haven't used Waves Tune yet).įor ease of use and speed of workflow, you can't beat AutoTune TDM. ugh.Īnyway, any insights into this would be appreciated. because the demo says my trial period has expired. but somewhere sometime when I got my computer a few years back, I must have installed it and never tried it.
AUTOTUNE 7 VS WAVES TUNE REAL TIME INSTALL
install the waves plug in into ableton and you’ll have vocal tuning up in no time. we recommend waves because it does everything auto tune does but for a fraction of the price. Is Antares TDM comparable in interface? And can I run it as a plugin (right now I print my Tune Lt stuff straight away)? Anyone think Autotune is "better" per se? I must admit, a TDM tuner would kick a** over an RTAS latent monster. the two most popular tuning plug ins are auto tune and waves tune by waves. But I love the ease of use of Tune Lt (its so easy to drag notes around).

I told him I'd at least check into Autotune.įirst and foremost. It never dawned on me that Autotune might be TDM.Īnyway, long story short, I am tired of convincing this guy (who is working on a rather large project now) about how Waves Tune Lt is ok. And I was always under the assumption both plugs were RTAS/HTDM. He swears by Antares Autotune (i do not own). Problem is, I have a client who is bordering on insane when it comes to tuning plugs. I can honestly say it THE one plugin I use every single day. I currently have Waves Tune Lite (got it free).
